The Captain worked as a harbour pilot in St. John’s from 1988-1999. Originally from St. Anthony, he was educated in St. John’s before spending the next fifty years working in the marine industry. As a harbour pilot, his role was to safely navigate foreign vessels into and out of the Port of St. John’s, and his career tells the story of the wide range of vessels that have utilized the port.
