Robert Innes

Bob worked for decades in the vicinity of the St. John’s waterfront. He started out with the Bank of Montreal, and then managed his family-owned Bon Marche store on Water Street, before being named the first local Chairman of the National Harbours Board for St. John’s in 1972. In this role, he oversaw the continued modernization of the Port of St. John’s and the consolidation of its position within the federal jurisdiction. Now in his nineties, Innes is still an active member of the community and an avid musician.
